A lesson in packaging
A lesson in packaging
Last week, I received this box from Something’s Hiding in Here. Opening and unwrapping the box was a real education in the value of excellent packaging. I learned a lot, and thought I’d share with some pics:
All those layers of tissue paper, and little envelopes and bags with more little things inside – it was such a thrill to open that I wrapped it all up afterwards and did it again! And while unwrapping and unfolding, the name of this husband-and-wife team made perfect sense: Something’s Hiding in Here was what the whole experience was all about!
And yes, I’ve gone on and on about the packaging, but of course, the tote bag I bought is just perfect.
Go visit the shop, where they’re celebrating their 1000th sale. I’m sure you’ll find Something’s Hiding in there for you too.

What a beautiful box of treasures to open! I’m definitely taking some notes. I especially love the handwriting on the front (or is that a font?) P.S. your new bird on a branch cushion is beautiful – I love the sound of sweet pea pink, it has a lovely ring to it 🙂

Gifts are a little like a sandwich- it’s always better when someone else makes it. I struggle with wrapping presentation. People seem satisfied, but I always feel I should be doing something more. And by the way, I felt the way you did about this package when I received my S.L.M. mug!

I love receiving packages like that. It’s hard to make my boxes look beautiful with all the bubble wrap involved. I’m almost at 1,000 myself. It’s really quite an amazing sense of accomplishment.

Hello, I just discovered your blog (through your beautiful etsy shop) and I love it here! The coincidence is that just a few days ago I bought two glitter darts from their shop, still waiting for the items to arrive, but now I’m all the more excited to get them. You’re right, that’s a lesson in packaging!
Oh, and congratulations for being the featured seller on etsy 😉
