A weekend in Kleinbaai
26 Jan 2009
A weekend in Kleinbaai We were writing books all weekend, and somehow you get a whole lot more work done when you go away, even when the place is as distractingly beautiful as Kleinbaai.
oh my goodness…the last photo with the shards of shell is fantastic! i think you must tell more about going away to write books, you can’t just drop a small hint like that without explaining!! 🙂
Have you ever thought of photography as a career? You certainly have got what it takes – a good eye for light, design, colour, composition … the lot!!!

Looks beautiful! I love the little seaside get-aways around the Cape.
I was quite excited this weekend to pick up the new issue of Readymade, my favorite magazine, and see Skinny laMinx mentioned inside! Congrats! -X

Thanks for all the nice comments. Really, it’s an easy place to take good photos at – just naturally gorgeous!
Check out today’s post for more info about those books…

it seems like a lovely place. are those urchins, all strung up, in the second photo on the left under the hat?
Heather Moore
Hi Skona
Yes indeed, they are sea urchins. The rock pools in front of the cottage are full of them!
