Order, please
Order, please
Maybe it’s because I started the year with the resolution to get better organising systems in place, and maybe it’s because my studio is in serious need of a stretch (it’s coming), but on Sunday at Milnerton market, I found myself taking snaps of all the carefully ordered things I saw.
And I quite liked the jumbled things too.
It’s Design Indaba week in Cape Town, and I’ll be covering it for the other blog that I write. It’s a pretty outrageously busy week for me, so I may not get onto much blogging here, but check out what I’ve been doing over at the ELLE DECORATION blog, if you like.

Jeez – our car boot sale is nothing like this! There everything is just jumbled in old boxes or on tables and you have to scrabble through them. Well, some people are a little more ordered than others, I guess – maybe the sea air on the Milnerton side is different from Simon’s Town sea air!

These are great snap shops. It’s amazing how when you are in the moment – people buzzing past, hanging onto your handbag and trying to not catch the eye of the stall holder you miss these mundane and ordinary but beautiful ‘snap shops’.

I see another pattern design in the making. These are wonderfully caught, corner of the eye images.
