Patches of work
Patches of work
I spent most of Making Friday apparently pointlessly patching together the smallest scraps of Sevilla Rock offcuts (it’s amazing how quickly you can grow a decent size bit of fabrics from the tiniest pieces), and then, inspired by Cecile’s curtain, became a bit more focussed and made this 1 x 1m patched piece that may turn into a coverlet some day…
… and finally, I went all the way with some patched-together pieces of my Waiting print, and made this sweet little bag, now for sale in my Etsy shop. Am thrilled to have put one of my covered buttons to use at last too!
John ‘Hannibal’ Smith used to say it every Friday, and now it’s my turn: “I love it when a plan comes together”.

I've just discovered your blog via Sarah's Circles of Rain. The name caught my eye, as my husband used to called me 'skinny minny' and as a child I was a 'skinny malinky' (I wonder why I don't qualify for a 'skinny' nickname anymore!) I have had a quick browse – I love the old prints!! I'll come back for a better look, regards, Anne

Patchwork always gives me a kick! It looks good and the fact that it's made out of bits and pieces makes it especially good!
