Cycling in London
There’s lots of bicycle talk going on around here: Paul’s just got himself a mini velo frame made to take along with us to NYC, and I’m scouring Craigslist New York for a folding bike to use while I’m there. Also, we’ve just seen two friends from London who love to ride their bikes in that city (one of them made Paul’s mini velo), and then I spotted this announcement of a bicycle illustration competition:

The Association of Illustrators and the London Transport Museum want to encourage cycling in London with an illustration competition. They’re looking for illustrations that “demonstrate the environmental, health and/or recreational benefits of cycling. It is the task of entrants to create an illustration that shows cycling as a fun and efficient way to get around the city.”
Read more about it, and enter here.

your trip sounds exciting! There are so many wonderful places to visit in NYC, but I can highly recommend the High Line http://www.thehighline.org/ and the most delicious southern fried chicken in the world at Sylvia’s http://www.sylviasrestaurant.com/ Enjoy!

I was just reading about the High Line in the Aussie Vogue Living. Looks really amazing. Thanks so much for the hot tips – can’t wait to try ’em out.
