I really don’t want to scare you or anything, but did you consider that your knee pain might be because of a possible blood clot? If you were on a plane for 18 hours, it’s a possibility. If you leg is swollen, or if the pain starts moving up, you might want to get checked out by a doctor. Surely I’m being a silly worry wart, but I thought I would just let you know, just in case.
Thanks so much for your concern. I actually hadn’t thought of that at all, and I should have, because my sister-in-law had a big problem with that on her trip to Australia a while back. But I’ve been to a massage therapist and chiropractor, and they agree that it’s just some seriously stiff quads that are causing my kneecap to be pulled up in an awkward fashion. The pain is finally getting a bit better, so I’m on the road to recovery. Thanks so much for your kind comment

I’m so glad to hear it! I actually had a leg blood clot this winter, after being hit by a car while running. Apparently it’s common to develop a clot following a severe impact. Luckily, I recovered quite quickly from my accident, and the clot went away without any issues. So I guess my “clot” radar is on overdrive.
Sounds like you’re having a smashing time in NYC! My husband and I visit there every summer. We just love it!

Glad the clot went away, and … happy birthday wishes to you! I’m also turning 40 later this year. Hope to be ‘calm and happy” about it too. xx
