Hi Carolyn I just got back yesterday, and must tell you, Cape Town is eminently kissable right now. It’s a perfect winter’s day, and the World Cup spirit is making everyone very positive and excited. It was so great to meet you too. Come visit me here some time? xx
Just found you via i love pom-poms – so glad you loved New York and that the city was nice to you. I also think it can be a friendly, gesellige place:many small towns squashed together. I do think that SAfricans have an attractive – attracting – openness about them, too, though, which helps.
Great to hear from you! Just before I left NY, someone let me know about your lovely blog, so now I’m home, I’ll be getting my New York fixes via you.
xx
I love me some NYC and I am heart-broken that you will no longer be posting anymore NYC related posts because, well, you are not there anymore! It was nice to see such a fresh perspective on traveling/living/enjoying the city. I was expecting lots of photographs of places but instead you kind of did it in a themed sort of way, which really made me consider NYC in a totally different way. I am sad that I will no longer be privy to that. More sad still that I do not as yet know when I will return to visit NYC myself. I’ve gone every summer for several years and this year will not happen. Bums me out like crazy! Ideally, I’d spend an entire summer there, or move there even! Cuz, I know, in my heart, that although I’m always going to be a San Francisco Bay Area girl, I’m also a NYC girl too! Sigh. Good times. Thanks for the ride Heather! Take your time on the readjustment to Cape Town and normal life.
Loved having your comments and perspective on my travels, Shirley, and I’m so pleased you enjoyed the trip with me. Fingers crossed you get to visit again soon too. xx
Glad you got home safe and sound – must be a little strange after being away for so long. Hope it’s not too busy for you with the World Cup starting – I think it will be quiet in the Uk with people staying in to watch it on TV!
