What’s next?
It’s Sunday evening, and the weekend’s been great, but still I must admit to feeling a bit worn out, and not quite ready for a new week. Unstructured time, away from the To Do list, has been pretty rare this year, and I think I’m not the only one who feels that 2013 has got off to a rather relentless start.
I’ve been too busy photographing & planning for the Rough Cuts launch to have any time to make things, and I really miss dedicated studio time where deadlines and results are back of mind.
Still, even in this busy time, I’ve been finding spaces here and there where I can play. I’ve been keeping the weekends exceedingly quiet, and have been drawing and fooling around a lot, sharing even my silliest doodles and jokes on Instagram:
I’ve also opened my eyes to the amazing number of vintage cars around Cape Town, and love taking photos of them. (I’m blaming this new-found petrolheadedness on too many years of driving a delivery van.)
These days, having my phone almost constantly at hand means I can snap beautiful things on the move, and the more I do it, the more I seem to see.
So guess what? I started this blog post out feeling a little bit sorry for myself for being too busy, but the more I think about it, really, there’s nothing to complain about. I’m kind of looking forward to Monday after all. Hope you are too.
