Making Friday 28 March
Quite a while back, I did a blog tutorial for how to make a very simple hanging succulent garden, using the bare basics of a macramé-style structure. It did the job, but last week I decided it was time to finally learn some proper macramé knots.
This online tutorial taught me the Larkshead (or half-hitch) knot, the Wrap Knot, the Crown Knot, and some Square Knot variations, and after practicing those a bit, I had all the tools I needed for all manner of knotting.
Which is how I ended up knotting in every spare moment, and late into the night, and most of Making Friday, ending up with this array (and others besides).
I love me a good obsession, don’t you?

These are gorgeous, Heather!
I love that read one. I have a really funny white one with wooden orange beads that I bought from a charity shop. When I bought it, the man just said, “why are you buying this? what is it for?” ha!

Wow! Those look fabulous!
