Waste not
One of the things I find stressful about this job is the fact that a heck of a lot of scrap material gets generated as we cut products from the rolls of printed fabric. I’m always trying to think of smart ways to use these, so we sell our offcuts and scraps in bundles, and if you come into the shop, you can pick and choose scraps to purchase by the weight. But still, the tide of fabric scraps is pretty relentless.
That’s why I was soooooo happy, when making our new bag design – the Super Market Tote – to realise that the scooped section cut out between the handles could make a perfect little drawstring carry bag.

I wish I could stop by the shop to buy some scraps of that gorgeous fabric! Great bags though!

I too feel guilty about scrap fabrics and have been saving mine to use in mini projects, but they seem to pile up faster than I can use them. I’ve been saving scraps too small to make anything from to make pillow inserts, I compost the really small scraps, and for the rest, I guess I have to sew more. I love that you are concerned about this issue too.
