Colour Book: Liquorice Mint
That’s a photo of my sitting room, you know! I took while preparing the Liquorice Mint colour board in our Colour Book, and liked it so much that I left it exactly the same after the shoot (give or take a picturesquely placed cat or two).
I’m probably not allowed to have favourites, but you can probably tell that this is my favourite Colour Book palette. Those Simple Stripes in mint & liquorice just work so darn well with all the sages, greys and blacks in the existing range, don’t you think?
I did a bit of a hunt around the web for more examples of a Liquorice Mint colour palette, and found some real treasures to share:
This minty wall, with just about zero other colour over is a winner! Found at Stylizmo blog.
I’m invariably a sucker for the work of Ilse Crawford, and although this green is deeper than my mint, this interior of Cicconi’s Restaurant in Mayfair, London, is too lovely to leave out. (photos: Simon Kaemfer & Julia Grassi)
A liquorice mint kitchen sounds simply yummy. Clockwise, L-R: Bar kitchen in House & Garden + Porcelain enamel bowls from Barnlight Electric + Minty Macaroons + Kitchenaid
(Hmm, now I think about it, our Mushrooms tea towels would work a treat in this kitchen too)
Always good to match your Toothpaste to your tiles, don’t you think? This Victorian bathroom in LA was photographed by Karyn Millet
Inspired? I certainly am. Send me your Liquorice Mint pics, if you have any.
Oh, and don’t forget to enter our Colour Book competition on Facebook today.
