Inspired by: Pastel colour blocks
I don’t have a lot of pastels in my own home, but I’ve been having fun, imagining how Skinny laMinx fabrics might fit in with some feisty pastel interiors I’ve spotted around the web.
The home of Anki Wijnen and family (via Our Gathered Home) is a perfect match with our Orla in Strawberry, Gridly in fog, and a bucket stool from Pedersen + Lennard.
The mint greens and reds in this image found on SFGirlByBay would suit a pile of Gridly and Simple Stripe cushions, no?
This pastel sunrise in the home of Swedish carpenter Pär Ottesen (via Anya Adores Design) would be dosed with even more rays of sunshine when teamed with our Fronds fabric in pine nut.
This is an interesting one, found at Artnau and I’m not sure I’m quite up to it.
I can see our pinks and brown working beautifully (see the Wild Flowers and Orla above), and the blue and brown too (see Rough Diamond and Brancusi Stripe below), but as a scheme, all together? Not an easy one.
Here’s an image from the Etsy blog, where Emily Henderson put together a pastel look entirely from Etsy sellers. She missed out on Skinny laMinx (what???), but I’m adding some in here, with our Orla, Simple Stripe and Gridly prints. That’s better!
And seeing as I’m writing this blog from a hotel room in India, I’ll end off my pastel posting with a view of le Corbusier’s spectacular city in India, Chandagarh (via The Independent), which I’ve teamed up with a veritable sweetie box of Skinny pastel brights.
