Skinny laMinx Travels: Paris
Ten days in Paris! I’m spoiled rotten, really, I am.
Six days were all about relentless hard work at Maison et Objet, with a home base a rather groovy apartment on the very vibey Rue Faubourg st Denis. All of the early morning commutes and late-night conversations were with Binky Newman of Design Afrika, our European distributor, Marian Counihan of The South is Blooming, and Bridget Henderson of Cowgirlblues, and I could not have wished for more interesting, engaging, amusing flatmates.
After Maison et Objet was all finished, I moved into my own teeny little slope-roofed apartment on Rue Poitou, in the Marais, and explored from there, eating lots of cheese, drinking devilishly expensive expressos, going to a concert in a church, looking at innumerable skeletons and bones at the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle, exploring a rainforest at Jardin des Plantes, finding a flea market where most of the patrons seemed to be Japanese wearing blue pants and striped shirts, shopping, shopping, shopping (of course), and marvelling at how well-dressed Parisian kids are.
I also made a friend, but I’ll blog more about her another time. Meantime, here are a few of my Paris pics.
Thanks, Paris! Hope to see you again soon.
