Inside the St John’s staffroom
Usually it’s only the teachers who usually get to see inside the school staffroom, right? Well, two teacher-slash-decorators at St Johns Diocesan School in Pietermaritzburg mailed us pics of theirs, and we think it deserves to be see by everyone! Look at the sweet note they sent us too:
“Hi Skinny laMinx Team,
A colleague and I were given the task of redecorating our rather drab and dreary staff room and even when we saw our very limited budget we both knew that (being two of your biggest fans) we had to scrimp and scrape wherever we could to make sure that we had enough to Skinny the room!
Our school colours are black, yellow and white so we used that as our colour scheme (and also happened to both adore lemon bowls, lemon stripes and penny black flowerfields). Because we needed some pops of colour on the walls (and because we had no budget left – haha!) we made some garlands and bunting by using every last scrap of fabric.
Everyone is so impressed with how fresh it makes the room feel and we are both in love with it and trying desperately to stop ourselves stealing the items for our own homes!
Thank you for your stunning prints and awesome customer service. We will be adding to the room throughout the year and will be making the most of your sales to come J
Love Kari and Kristy (teachers and part time interior decorators ;)) xx”
If you have a project that turned out beautifully, let us know! Tag your pics #skinnylaminx on Facebook or Instagram, or drop us a line. You’ll make our day 🙂

I always thought St Johns’ had class! This is fabulous; congratulations to the two ‘decorators’.
Looking forward to seeing what Epworth does …
