LOOKBOOK 2017/18 – Living With Skinny laMinx
Let’s be honest. While the Skinny laMinx shop is a lovely space to visit, there’s a TON of pattern and colour there, which can be pretty overwhelming when you’re trying to make a decorating decision. I get it! I’m the worst decision-maker in the world!
That’s exactly why this year, we’ve rearranged our fabric book to group designs & colours that work together….
… and then taken it a step further, by shooting our 2017/18 Lookbook in a real-life home, to show how to put all that colour and pattern in the fabric book to use. It was quite an ambitious project for our little team to tackle, but luckily, I knew the perfect house for the job:
Last year, my friends Jo & Stu (and their doggo Pablo, and baby Roo) moved into a barely touched 60’s house in Rondebosch. It’s got the fine bones, angles and finishes that every mid-century nerd lusts after, and, because they’re both super-organised architects, Jo & Stu have already refined those features just enough to make it physically painfully desirable. Flip through the Living with Skinny laMinx Lookbook, for the evidence.
See what I mean? We couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect canvas for us to show off our ideas for how to team up prints and colours in bedrooms, dining rooms, outdoors and more.
We’ve also included tips and ideas throughout, suggesting how to team up our prints and colours, and showing off applications like headboards, wallpaper and curtains and furniture too.
My team and I really had a blast putting our Living with Skinny laMinx Lookbook together this year, and sincerely hope that you find it to be a useful and inspiring tool in your decorating projects.

Thanks so much for Jo & Stu (and their crew) for letting us take over their home, and thanks too, to Charl Edwards and Inge Prins for lending us your expertise for a mad day of heaving furniture and chasing sunshine!
