Are round doors & windows a trend?
Isn’t it funny when you start noticing something – a colour or a shape – and then it just seems to be everywhere? I’m finding the Collections feature on Instagram has really ramped this up for me, giving me enormous pleasure as I sort the endless scroll of Instagram images into groups.
One of my favourite collections is called ‘Round Doors & Windows’, and it’s stuffed with pics!
The question is: Does seeing so many round doors and windows mean I’ve spotted a growing trend, or is it just that I notice them because I’ve been noticing them? It’s hard to say, but then again, perhaps I am onto something. After all, this terrazzo trend that’s happening so hard right now? I predicted it on this very blog, way back in 2015! So maybe I do know… and maybe I don’t. Whichever it is, I like these round doors and windows enough to put some of them into a blog post.

Thanks for pointing out how there has been a growing trend with circular doors and windows! I think the pictures exhibited here perfectly shows how these windows give every space that sense of whimsical wonder that reminds me of childhood fantasies of living in the future. Should the money for it comes up, I just might considering installing some circular windows on my attic so that I can have a quiet and pretty space to catch up on my readings.
