Trends: Well-rounded
“A seed pod, cocoon or pregnant belly” is how Selvedge Magazine describes the felted bags of knitter, felt maker and designer Cecilie Telle, and those words sum up exactly a trend I’ve been noticing lately, of soft capsule shapes, arches and pods. The Studio and discovery space at Groniger Museum by Jaime Hayon looks like a journey I’d love to take.
Mmm, those decadent curves on the lush furniture by MUNNA Design would be perfect to find inside the door of Bibo Ergo Sum cocktail bar (below) in LA, don’t you think?
The Setareh suspension lamp by Francesco Librizzi may be on trend, but utterly timeless.
Murano glass Don Giovanni table lamp by India Mahdavi. She’s a genius.
And how about this tiny but perfectly-formed Paris apartment by Batiik Studio (via Yellowtrace)
