At the Market in Swaziland
I was in Swaziland with Ace Camps in April, teaching a course about pattern to bunch of Ace Campers. There’s so much to see in this tiny African kingdom, and only a tiny bit of it is for tourists. I could have spent hours at Manzini Market, which opened my eyes to things – many of which are familiar to me from South Africa – but in a new context, and through the eyes of the other Ace Campers, all so fresh.
In the end, my market spoils boiled down to these treasures above. But I’m still regretting not getting a pair of those handmade tyre Nikes!
