What’s in the coffee, Bruce?
A good cup of coffee is a great start to a seriously good day, but the environment you drink it in can make all the difference. But what is that vibe, exactly?
I reckon the Cape Town coffee spot with the best vibe on the weekends has to be Bruce Majonga’s mobile espresso bar in the de Waal Park bandstand. There’s no fancypants decor or focus-grouped soundtrack (although there are free dog treats), and yet Bruce’s coffee leaves me feeling lighter, better and happier every time. I asked Bruce what he’s putting into his coffee to make it so effective, and he told me:
“Well, I’m selling more than coffee. I’m also there to add positive energy.
It works for me, because when you have the attitude of being there
to improve other peoples’ days, it improves your own, too.”
Seriously, this is the stuff that good days (and good lives) are made of. For more inspiration, follow Bruce on Instagram to check in on his de Waal Park weekend coffee schedule.
