Day job

In my profile I list myself as an illustrator, designer and writer, but all I’ve shown here have been my illustrations and designs, so here’s a bit about my writing.

I work every morning at a company called Strika Entertainment. Strika produces comics that get distributed all over Africa, in Colombia, Pakistan, and in Norway too. The comic they’re most famous for is Supa Strikas – a soccer comic that tracks the adventures of young striker, Shakes Mokena. Recently, Supa Strikas has become an animated TV series too.
My knowledge of sport is scanty, so luckily, I don’t work on Supa Strikas, nor on the Supa Tigers cricket comic they produce for Pakistan.
My work is writing the comics Strika does for corporate clients. It’s a varied bunch, including SARS (revenue collection), insurance companies, banks, cellphone companies, etc. See a couple of the comics I’ve written below:
