Patterns
I had fun last week, creating a bunch of patterns for a client to choose from to use on a 2008 diary cover. Neisha Crosland-esque was my self-assigned brief, as the diary hopes to appeal to the sophisticated working woman.(ps: Check out the real deal at Neisha Crosland’s site)Erk – late addition to this post. I only found Neisha Crosland’s website when I wanted to link to it here, which was long after all these patterns were complete. My inspiration for these designs were bits and bobs I found in my scrapbooks. Now, looking at her website, I see her Tudor Rose is spookily similar to the first pattern posted here. I’d never seen it before and didn’t copy hers, honest! I must just have channelled the Neisha vibe somehow.

Lovely!
I’ll take the 2nd from the bottom.
No wait, I’m not the client am I? 😉
doncha just love those ‘briefs’?
I often wonder just who is this “sophisticated working woman”?

Funnily enough, Carson, that’s the one (in a different colourway) that the client DID choose.

Wow these pattern designs are great!! Would love to know which one the client ends up choosing! Oh any of them would look good as a diary cover.
Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog by the way! I think anything you apply yourself to turns out great, and your cutout designs would look awesome out of metal as a wall feature in a couryard or something. Mmmm.
