Best Things #07
Just one Best Thing this week, because it follows on so well from the recent Fashion Revolution movement, which asked us to consider the question “Who Made My Clothes?”
The video is fairly long, but certainly worth the time, and has stayed with me ever since I watched it last week.

Thank you very much for sharing this. It actually reminds me of my visit to Egypt, where we went to visit “Garbage City” (one of several, I believe) in and around Cairo. Same sort of thing, only the Christians do this out of their homes. They live upstairs, the garbage is on the ground level. It is amazing how we much we take for granted here in the west (I’m in the US). As a quilter, I recycle fabrics all the time, but wow! I really didn’t know that the fabric could be broken down to remake thread. I love the line that we are so rich that we give our clothes away for free. For me, it sums up just how much I really have.
