Best Things: Casa Cubista

I’m starting to get very excited about my upcoming teaching trip to Lisbon with Ace Camps. It’s going to be an amazing exploration of tile, pattern and printing in a beautiful part of the world.

Arren Williams lives in Olhão – a bustling fishing port on Portugal’s Algarve coast. That’s the base from which he and his partner travel the length and breadth of Portugal to find beautiful rugs, pillows, ceramics, baskets (and more) to share at Casa Cubista.

Most exciting of all (for me) is that Casa Cubista has been designing and making their own press-moulded tiles too, like that gorgeous one above. I’m all itchy with envy, actually! I’ve enjoyed following the process of manufacture via @arrenwilliams on Instagram:
