Where would I be without a Slingsby (or three)?
Where would I be without a Slingsby (or three)?
Paul and I spent lots of Sunday walking in Silvermine, accompanied by Peter Slingsby.
Actually, it was one of his amazing maps, not the real him, but his maps are so saturated with his humour and his dedication to mapping in close and useful detail every trail and path on Table Mountain and the Peninsula, it might as well be him walking along next to you, pointing things out along the way.
Pete’s the amazing guy who recorded the rock art images in my Sevilla Rock collection, his wife Maggie is a co-author with me on a fabulous series of books and their daughter Molly is a hilarious blogger, and (hallelujah!) back from London and helping me out with wholesale orders again.
So clearly, I’d be lost without at least one Slingsby. Love you guys!
