The Brooklyn Flea
Our days here are so ridiculously full that I barely seem to have time to edit one set of pics before the next lot arrives. Whew, being on sabbatical is exhausting! So just before we head out the door (another attempt to spot a Williamsburg hipster or two after our ill-fated first try) here are my pics of what I saw at the Brooklyn Flea on Saturday. Commentary attempts to emulate the charming throwaway style of one of my fave blogs:
Notice: the pattern above the seeds is like the radish in reflection. Blur your eyes, you’ll see. Blur them more? Ok, just close them and believe what I say.
Dazzling.
A challenge: mark which of these neckties will never get you a promotion.
K L ; ‘ , . / – someone is getting frustrated that they can’t remember the full acronym of the Dutch airline.
Really cute screenprinted cards, but for the life of me, I can’t remember who made them. Anyone?

Ack! My brother lives in Brooklyn (Park Slope) and last time we visited I was so desperate to get to it but he very inconsiderately scheduled his wedding in Pennsylvania the only weekend I was there. I can see it’s just as good as I suspected it was (curses!)

Brothers! So thoughtless, eh? Ah well, maybe it’s time for another visit over a weekend – to see your brother of course, not just to visit the flea 😉 xx

Lovely photos!
Hope you knee is feeling better and not slowing you down. I can’t even imagine how absolutely amazing it must be to roam around New York! x

Thanks for asking about my knees. They are slowing me down a bit, but appear to be getting better by the day. The bike helps a lot too. Hope you get to roam around NYC too sometime soon. xx

Thanks so much for the link. Beautiful pics, and what a thrill to see one of my cushions inside the teepee! xx

Yes, but Milnies will always be your true love.
skinnylaminx
Absolutely. It’s too easy to find cool stuff here, whereas Milnies needs a serious eagle eye and a stern dose of committment. xx

I love the Brooklyn Flea. I regrettably didn’t buy anything when I was there because I thought I would return, but alas, I didn’t. There were so many interesting things – from the decor pieces and particularly the jewellery which I would love to have in my home.
