The Watch Shop
When I picked up my freshly fixed watch from the watch shop on Friday, I had my camera with me, and they let me behind the glass counter so that I could photograph all the hundreds and hundreds of little drawers and boxes where everything is perfectly categorised. Well, almost everything is perfectly categorised: it took them a while to find my watch.

O wow! Make sure they have your number just incase they want to modernise sometime and want someone to take the vintage stuff off their hands.

Lovely- I am so crazy about those old school shops- always tailors, watchmakers, sewing machine shops, old pharmacies. Have always wanted to do a photo essay on those shops befpre they disaopear!

Wow. Love these. Imagine learning the ropes in that place…
Will we see a Skinny clock hands and cogs pattern next, I wonder?
PS! Good idea from Ansie.

I have always been crazy about apothecaries (spelling?) and all the little drawers. I am still hunting for a library card catalogue. Love your photos.

I’ve never been to that one, actually. It’s a much more ordinary little sales and repairs place on Hout. Can’t recall the name, but you’ll know it when you see it. xx
