Skinnylaminxenstein: Dreaming

I’ve been re-reading this book by Tokuhiko Kise and Hiromi Karatsu of Truck Furniture, which tells the story of how this couple dreamed up and built their home / workshop / showroom / restaurant / garden in Osaka, Japan. It’s an inspiring read, as their motivations are so simple – all about living a good, rich, integrated, hardworking, adventurous life. The idea of a life that integrates work and cats and dogs and trees and friends and food and attention to things that last and how people enjoy their days is very interesting to me, and I hope I’m able to do it as well as Tok and Hiromi are.
