    Wabi Sabi vase

    Wabi Sabi again

    21 Dec 2018

Oh bugger. I had just been thinking I should take return a beautiful midcentury West German vase to our home, when I moved a fan and knocked it off the bookshelf.

Of course I couldn’t just chuck it in the bin. It’s been around longer than I have, so with the help of sellotape and an archaeologist’s 11 year old granddaughter, I reassembled this Frankenstein version.

Call it evidence of my optimism / unwillingness to face the truth, but I’m possibly more fond of this fragile reassembly than I was before.

The part you can’t see is that the dried flower stem is all held together with sellotape too.

..Hang in there, guys! 2018 is nearly over, and 2019 is going to be great! .
