Strika work
I haven’t written anything about my day job writing work for a while, so I thought I’d tell you about this great project I’ve been working on at Strika.
African Bank is concerned about levels of indebtedness in South Africa, so they commissioned Strika to make a comic for kids about the problems of poor money-management. This is what we came up with…
Antony and the Race Day Challenge is the four-part comic I wrote about a young ant who lives in the insect-populated city of Bugfontein. Antony and his family learn life lessons about budgeting, the pitfalls of debt and the importance of saving while preparing for a race kart competition.
The comic is marvellously illustrated by the fabulous Nic and Willem at Strika. Download PDFs of the comic here, if you’re interested (or if you need some debt-dodging advice!)
PS: Photo comic shoots on Monday and Friday went swimmingly. Great to get out into the countryside – and double great when it’s during office hours!

I read the comic last night – it’s great!
