Window licking
Window licking
I love the French word for window shopping: it’s leche vitrine, which means “lick window”. This unbelievably cute Crosley portable speaker from Urban Outfitters has me licking that window so hard, I swear the glass is getting thinner!
Other reasons to keep leching that vitrine include the Crosley USB turntable…
And the fact that if I get all these nifty items, my life will become about being lithe and desirable and sitting around all day, flipping idly through classic albums.
And in other news, I’ll be hawking my wares at the Neighbourgoods Market this weekend, in the brand new Designgoods section. I’ve been working hard at my display, and will show you some shots next week. Happy weekend, everyone!
Cicada Studio
I love all the throwbacks to simpler times. I wonder what it’s like to sit around and just listen to music for hours as an adult.
Have good show and a good weekend!

AAhhh that’s why my tongue is so sore.

In Afrikaans window shopping is sometimes called “wenskopies” – wishful shopping! I love the old turn-tables. My son Niki and I cranked up my parents’ old valve radio/record player last night and had great fun finding crackly stations in exotic languages on the shortwave band.
