How to make cute gift tags
- You’ll need card, thin coloured paper (I used origami paper), scissors, a stamp pad, lino and cutting tools.
- Carve your stamp from the lino. If you’ve been to one of my workshops on this, you’ll know exactly how to do this! If not, try carving a soft material like an eraser.
- Cut two circles from the origami paper at the same time, in different colours
- Stick the paper onto the card. Origami paper is really thin, so it leaves quite a seamless effect, even with three layers of paper.
- Add your stamp. I love my Versafine stamp pads from Japanese brand Tsukineko, as the pigment ink is waterproof, and the pad makes a beautiful print.
- I made use of the ‘leftover’ pieces of origami paper, sticking them onto a pale card, to make a different version.
