What does 156 washes look like?

This is the Alexander Sack I use for laundry. I fill it with grubby garments every week and drop at our laundry down the road.

Every week this bag goes through a cold wash and tumble with our clothes.

Yesterday I picked up the laundry and wondered just how many times this bag had been through the wash?

I found the answer: Here I am 5 years ago on the Manhattan subway, carrying my brand new Alex Sack:

So, by my calculations:

• I used the bag daily for 2 years from Jan 2018.
• It was demoted to laundry duty in early 2020.
• Since then, the bag has gone through the wash every week.
• That’s approximately 156 washes!

This old bag has given me and the team a huge dose of job satisfaction.

By that, I mean that we feel 100% confident that we’re making things to be as high value and long-lasting as we can.

That feeling is worth a lot.
